I have always loved the way canvas & leather look together, but waxed canvas has been used over and over. We wanted to do something that was fresh. The Edinburgh Collection features an 18oz. dry cotton canvas that has been stone-washed and dyed in a unique process that forms uneven depth & rich levels of varying color tones. Each piece is combined with beautiful Horween veg-tanned leather, unique Italian made solid-brass hardware, amazing stitch details. All 100% American Made in our San Diego leather shop.

Something we have always tried to pay attention to.....small details. There is where you will find the difference between good products and great products.
ITALIAN BRASS HARDWARE
The Italians are great at cooking, espresso and hardware! We visited Italy in the Fall of 2018 to find unique hardware & leather. We found both. One of our favorite parts was a "patented" locking swivel clip. Rotate the small brass roller and the clasp is locked for security. It is also solid brass and one of the heaviest hardware pieces we have ever used. Just beautiful! We also found some great teardrop shaped posts and some beautiful flat D-Rings.
DOUBLE-LOOPED LEATHER STRIPS
This is our twist on aesthetic balance and function. On the backpack and duffel we first stitch dow Horween Dublin leather, then layer a narrower strip over but leave it loose (stitched at the bottom and top only). This creates some depth in the appearance and also is a great way to carry an extra magazine, windbreaker, umbrella, flannel, etc. It looks cool and adds some real function.
CCW ENABLED
Since 1987, we have been making CCW (concealed-carry) gear. Our backpack and messenger feature our signature, key-locking pocket and removable holster. As a pioneer in CCW gear, we know how to do it right. The locking zipper keeps your firearm safe when it needs to be and the removable holster keeps it secure and accessible, if you ever need to draw.

We proudly design & craft this entire collection in San Diego, California. A small and talented crew of about 17 men and women all play a part in the crafting of our products. Most bags will go through as many as seven different departments and ten different people, a true team effort to build each and every Coronado Leather product.
