Our Horsehide Weekender No.125 is a vintage influenced design with versatility and style. The right size for a weekend trip or a trip to the gym, with a wide-top opening that makes getting your gear in and out smoothly. Made with durable 8oz. Horween® latigo leather handles and a removable cross-body strap. The side handle is positioned to grab the bag from an overhead bin or the back seat. Fully lined with an inside zipper pocket, solid brass Italian and US made hardware.

This is the FIrst Edition of our No.125 Weekender, made from two special Horween® leathers. The foundation of the Weekender is made from Horween® "Natural-M" horsehide leather. A very unique, limited and hard to source leather. We received this lot in the Fall of 2023, with just enough to make a handful of products. It is tanned in the Horween® "Natural" color, which is more of a light brown/tan tone. The trim and handles are made from a stout, 8oz. Horween® latigo. This is a unique and very hard to source, Horween® Horsehide leather. Called "Natural M" due to its use as a mechanical horsehide leather in the 1900's. The hides are totally unique in their temper and the incredible patina and burnish that it develops with use. Initially the hides are more of a matte finish but with use they naturally burnish with a rich sheen. The Natural M hides are pit-tanned, using techniques developed by Horween of Chicago since in 1905. A 30 day vegetable tannage is followed by conditioning with tallow, lanolin, and beeswax. The resulting leather is supple, strong, and very dense.
