Our American Bison Garment Leather

What better leather to use for vests and jackets than Genuine American Bison leather, maybe the finest leather available today. America’s original leather and a quintessential part of America’s history, the American Bison represents the unbridled freedom of our great country.

Our Bison Garment Leather is a 1.2-1.4mm (3.5-4oz.) full-grain, chrome-tanned leather with a little oil to give it a full hand. The hides are slightly shrunken to give a natural, pronounced pebble-grain finish. It has a nice drape while remaining extremely tough and bold.

Bison Hides & Characteristics

Please note that these hides are a natural, naked tannage. This along with the fact that scarring and markings are much more prevalent on Bison hides gives the leather true character. This is part of what makes Bison products truly unique, no two hides are alike. Most Bison hides will have some visible scarring and/or other natural range markings. Please consider this when ordering Bison products.
