Each briefcase built in San Diego and stone-washed in a 100-year old denim wash house in Los Angeles. They are sun-dried, oiled and waxed by hand all in our California leather shop to give them an authentic, vintage and aged appearance. The unique stone-washing is an exclusive process we have developed and perfected over the last 10-years. No two bags are alike and they are distinctly authentic with character and style. Finished with solid brass hardware, Ykk USA #10 brass zippers and each piece is marked with a unique 9-digit serial numbered to validate authenticity.

Our Stone-Washed products are built from Horween® leather. A historic tannery that has been operating in Chicago, Illinois for more than 100-years. The leather is a 100% vegetable tanned steerhide, tanned with natural tree barks and other organic materials. The process is more environmentally friendly while giving the leather a more natural, look, feel and aroma.
- After the products are built, we drive them to the premier "wash house" in Los Angeles that stone-washes denim jeans for the largest and best denim brands in the US. The products are then stone-washed, rinsed and dried in the California sun. Over the next 2-3 days we shape, oil and condition them by hand, one-by-one. A process that cannot be done fast, only right. During these days, the leather softens, the edges darken and the flaps roll over to create a distinctly unique and incredibly authentic product that appears aged and worn. The entire process, starting from leathers we use, starts and ends in the USA. The leather is tanned in Chicago, the bags are built in San Diego and stone-washed in Los Angeles. A unique process that we pioneered and perfected over the last 10-years.
STONE-WASHED IN LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA
- Inspired by vintage Americana work-wear, denim jeans and leather goods from the 70’s-80’s, our Vintage Stone-Washed Collection is like nothing else we have made. Each piece is crafted in our San Diego shop using a vegetable tanned Horween® leather, heavy #277 beige thread, solid-brass (Antiqued) hardware and stone-washed in Los Angeles, California after construction. Vegetable tanned leathers are a traditional artisan and labor intensive tanning process that creates unique characteristics in an environmentally friendly manner. The hides are processed in large wooden drums with natural tree bark tannins, waxes and Horween’s proprietary tanning liquors.
- After washing, the bags are shaped, air-dried, conditioned and oiled to bring back the luster of the leather. The darkened edges and wrinkled flaps are all genuine and unique to each piece. The results are amazingly authentic, with a new bag that appears old, worn and broken-in.
- Individually marked with a unique 11-digit serial number to validate the authenticity and the time of production.
