The Americana CEO No.200

THE DETAILS
Our Americana CEO is exclusively built in our San Diego, California leather shop using old-world, American craftsmanship and premium materials. We start with premium Horween® vegetable tanned cowhide in a rich saddle color. With close to thirty pieces of Horween® leather carefully cut to make each briefcase, the process is not simple. Any raw-edges are polished and hand-stained, rivets and holes are set by hand and folded edges are skillfully skived one by one. We sew each bag with a combination of contrasting beige #277 thread and tonal #138 thread, for a refined and bold look. Designed and built to be a full-size briefcase with maximum capacity, the CEO is not your average bag. The main compartment is wide enough to carry all your documents, folders and other gear, with a divided back panel that is re-enforced to carry and support most laptops and tablets. In addition, you will find a card pocket, three-way pen loop and a 6" wide Ykk brass zipper for any small essentials. The opposite panel is stitched with two dividers to slide tech accessories, notepads or other personal items. The front has two larger gusset pockets with solid-brass turn locks. A perfect space for chargers, cables, cell-phone and more The back panel is built with another 8" Ykk brass zipper along with our signature, key-locking CCW compartment. Equally as functional as a security-pocket when traveling as a self-protection pocket.
THE LEATHER
Our Horween® Americana leather is a natural, 100% vegetable tanned leather tanned in Chicago, Illinois. The tannage uses Horween's old-fashioned, time proven Shell Cordovan tanning liquors. A blend fats, oils, natural waxes and greases are tanned into the leather giving the hides a durability, softness and a rich round feel. The hides are finised with a "hot-plating" to give them a smoother surface, a rich lustre and a light sheen. You will notice a slight "pull-up" effect with ligher undertones and wonderful "leather" smell. The "temper" or firmness of the leather is ideally suited for luggage and cases, with just the right amount of rigidity and body. A true "Artisian" tanned leather made from domestic US hides and tanned start to finish in USA since 1905.
THE OTHER MATERIALS
Quality doesn't just end with a good design, the Americana CEO No.200 is finished with premium hardware and linings. We use solid-brass swivels, buckles, turn-locks and hand-set rivets. The main zipper is an ultra-durable #10 Ykk brass zipper (Made In USA) and the body is lined with premium 8oz. cotton canvas in a caramel/tan tone. We stitch them all together with a combination of #277 and #138 bonded threads.
Horween Leather Company has been tanning leather in Chicago, IL for more than 100-years (Since 1905). They are five generation, family run company that we are proud to be working with.
