Our Horween® CXL Belt is a throwback to the classic belts made in the 80's. The perfect belt to wear with jeans for a casual but refined look. Each belt is hand-cut from Horween® Chromexcel® leather in a stout 8/9oz. and a natural color backing.
The smooth and flexible Chromexcel® leather is an ideal mix of toughness and comfort in a belting leather. We bevel, polish and waxed the edges for a smooth, slick edge and the buckle holes are hand-set "tear-drop" shaped. They are finished with a removable cap-end (installed with Chicago screws) that will allow you to resize the belt if needed or change the buckle out. We use a solid brass buckles and Chicago screws and each belt is 100% tanned, cut & finished in the USA.

Chromexcel is the original pull-up leather; using time honored techniques and formulas that were developed nearly 100 years ago. Chromexcel is still produced in the the world-renown Horween tannery in Chicago, using a bark retannage from a proprietary recipe, and then genuine hot stuffed with a blend of natural oils and greases. Chromexcel is characterized by a rich pull-up in full aniline, hand rubbed finishes. Made to this day with old world craftsmanship, modern Chromexcel carries on a long history of superior comfort and durability.
