The Santa Fe Collection brings American craftsmanship to the forefront. Handcrafted in our San Diego, California leather shop from a rich and bold, American Bison leather, solid brass (antiqued) hardware and rustic but feminine designs.
THE LEATHERAmerican Bison is widely considered to be America’s original leather, a representation of the unbridled freedom and strength of our great country. We have been using Bison leather in our products for close to twenty-years now and continue to expand our offerings.
We worked closely with a very small tannery to develop this beautiful, vegetable-tanned American Bison leather. This eco-friendly tanning process is not only environmentally conscious, but produces a leather that has a slightly firm temper until the natural “break-in” occurs. Once the leather breaks-in or “patina’s” in leather terms, it is plump, warm and supple with just the right amount of firmness. Vegetable tanned leathers are unique and more expensive for these reasons. Available in five vibrant colors: Black, Mocha, Saddle, Jade, and Scarlet.
