This product is a Seasonal or Limited Edition item that is not always available. Our production runs for Limited Edition products are generally from 5-20 units, so they are quite small and very special. In most cases they are exclusively available on our website unless otherwise noted.

This product was proudly designed, cut and sewn in our San Diego, California leather shop. It has been built entirely by our employees 100% (start to finish), in our own factory.  We don’t “partially assemble” our products in another country then label them MADE IN USA. In respect to all the American manufacturers over the last century, we do it the right way, honest and true American manufacturing.

Montblanc is a new leather from Horween® that was introduced in 2024. The base tannage is similar to their famous Chromexcel® leather but with a softer hand, less oils and no “pull-up”. Montblanc is what we would consider Horween’s most “luxurious” luggage leather with a slightly European look and feel. The hides are a full-grain, vegetable-tanned leather in a 5-6oz. weight. The natural grain surface is smooth, with a tight grain and a very light sheen, making them very rich and warm. 

As a full-veg leather, it is lighter weight due to less oils and waxes. An exceptional leather for luggage and cases, with just the right amount of stand-up temper and weight. The hand-feel, smooth grain and aroma of Montblanc is absolutely amazing, making the leather totally unique from other Horween® tannages. 

Available in Black and Chocolate (Fall 2024). Horween® Montblanc leather is a true "Artisan" tanned leather made from domestic US hides and tanned, start to finish, in Chicago, IL since 1905.

We love building products a lot more than repairing them!  That’s why we design and build them to last. We want the product to give you a lifetime of use, but if they fail due to a manufacturing defect, we will repair the product or replace it at little or no charge for the life of the item.
