  • We use a combination of two US tanned leathers. Our "Shrunken" American Bison is tanned in Milwaukee, WI and is one of our favorite and most unique leathers. The hides are between 5-7oz. and are chrome/vegetable re-tanned from bison hides that originated in North America. The leather goes through a complex tanning process that shrinks the hide to enhance the already bold natural grain of bison. Each hide has its own, 100% unique grain pattern much like our fingerprints. They are lightly waxed prior to applying a "hot chromed mirror plate" to give them a rich glossy sheen.

We finish this product with premium Horween® latigo leather, tanned in Chicago, IL since 1905. The hides are a smooth, flat grain steerhide in a full 7-9oz weight, making them not only a handsome contrast against the pebbled bison but ideal for straps, handles, trim and structured side panels.
