All of our boots are handmade in Mercedes, Texas by the Rios Of Mercedes boot company using our US tanned leathers.

With more than 160 years of bootmaking experience, Rios are building some of the finest American Western booths in the world today. We have proudly partnered with as the exclusive manufacturer for our NEW and upcoming boots in the 2024/25 seasons.

Rios is one of the last American boot makes that still employs traditional Channeled Insole Goodyear Welt Construction. An intense, highly skilled and truly handcrafted process that extends the longevity, improves comfort and allows you to recraft the boot for generations.

Each boot is hand-lasted and reinforced with steel that is secured with wooden pegs. A fully stacked leather heels are finished with a rubber heel tap for longevity.

Our Waxed Flesh Chromexcel Horsehide is a new leather for us in 2024. This is a Horween®  leather that is difficult to source and not commonly found today. The front-quarter horsehide starts out with a Chromexcel base, which is vegetable-retanned and hot stuffed with Horween® tanning liquors. The flesh side is finished and the grain side is smooth and untouched. Horween® hand dyes and glazes the horsehide to provide a tight flesh and fine luster. A unique and durable tannage that is near waterproof, looks fantastic and functions exceptionally in boots and luggage. The hides are relatively light-weight at 3-3.5oz. but with a firm temper to give products the right “stand-up”. 100% Tanned at the Horween® tannery in Chicago, IL USA.

We love building products a lot more than repairing them!  That’s why we design and build them to last. We want the product to give you a lifetime of use, but if they fail due to a manufacturing defect, we will repair the product or replace it at little or no charge for the life of the item.
