Four years in the works, our NEW Vintage Rios Boot No.92  is now available. Designed by Coronado Leather, using Horween® leather and made exclusively for us by Rios Of Mercedes, in Texas. Rios has been hand-making boots since 1853 in Mercedes, TX with traditional, American bootmaking craftsmanship. We are honored and proud to have them making our first heritage "work style" boot.

We use our Horween® veg-tanned Dublin leather, the same leather used in all of our stone-washed products. The Rios boot is hand-lasted with channelled insole Goodyear welt construction. A traditional and time-intensive method of attaching the sole to the upper that allows you to replace the sole as many times as needed. Rios is one of a few makers that still constructs a boot with in this traditional and authentic way. Made with a premium Vibram rubber outsole, a stacked leather heel and a combination of tonal and contrasting single and double-stitched seems.

The fit is true or slightly generous with a comfortable last engineered for everyday use and a roomy toe box. The boot is "Stone-Washed" in Los Angeles, post construction for a broken-in feel and look. After stone-washing we condition and oil them for up to 3-days. The result is a truly unique boot, like nothing else available today, and 100% designed, tanned, built and stone-washed in USA.

Built for durability and comfort out of the box, with a rebuildable sole and American craftsmanship that is guaranteed to last a lifetime.

Released November 27, 2023

  • The Rios boot is an American made boot and consistent with most American work or western boots.  The toe box is comfortable and not tight. If you know your size in a Redwing boot, it will run very similar. If anything they run a little large, so go smaller rather than larger if unsure. Feel free to contact us if you need more help.

  • The Rios boot is stone-washed AFTER construction in Los Angeles, CA. The boot  is  stone-washed with less water than our bags, then dried in the California sun. Over the next 2-3 days we oil and condition them by hand, one-by-one. A process that cannot be done fast, only right. During these days, the leather softens, the edges darken and the flaps roll over to create a distinctly unique and incredibly authentic product while advancing the "break-in" for the boot. The entire process, starting from leathers we use, starts and ends in the USA. The leather is tanned in Chicago, the boots are built in Texas and stone-washed in Los Angeles. A unique process that we pioneered and perfected over the last 10-years.
