Hand-crafted in our San Diego, California leather shop in a very LIMITED EDITION Horween® Chromexcel in color #8 with Shell Cordovan leather trim and accents. A stunning combination made from two of Horween's most well known and sought-out leathers. The Shell Cordovan (Horsehide) is used in several panels and pieces in the duffle, all hand stained and polished then sewn with a tighter thread count and precise stitching. This is a true "Heirloom Quality" bag that can be passed down for generations.
The Duffel #205 is an exclusive design and a signature duffel silhouette made since 2005. Tanned and built 100% in America, the #205 Duffel is an heirloom quality luggage piece that you can expect to hand down for generations. Marked and logged with a unique 9-digit serial number and guaranteed for life.
Finished with 8oz. bull-denim cotton lining, side brass cinch buckles, oversized brass Ykk USA top zipper, an inside 14" long brass zipper, bottom leather feet and a wider guitar-style strap.

Designed & Built In USA - Made from two of the most recognized Horween® leathers and tanned in Chicago Illinois for more than a century.
Chromexcel ® is the original pull-up leather; using time honored techniques and formulas that were developed nearly 100 years ago. Produced in the the world-renown Horween tannery in Chicago, using a bark retannage from a proprietary recipe, and then genuine hot stuffed with a blend of natural oils and greases. Chromexcel® is characterized by a rich pull-up in full aniline, hand rubbed finishes.
Genuine Horween® Shell Cordovan is known for its extreme durability, extraordinary bright luster and glass-like surface and the rich cordovan aroma. The entire tanning process goes through close to 100-processes and takes a full 6-months to completely tan, making this the ultimate "Artisan Tanned Leather". Cordovan is a very specific leather from the "butt" of a horsehide. The oval shaped shells are tanned, stuffed, shaved, and then polished over six months. Each shell is slowly steeped in gentle vegetable liquors then hot stuffed & slicked onto glass frames to dry. They are hand curried and shaved by highly skilled artisans to expose the shell and the dyes are hand rubbed on for a deep aniline finish. Finally, the shells are hand glazed to achieve the rich, glossy look and feel prized by fine craftsmen.

THE OTHER MATERIALS
Quality doesn't just end with a good design, the Duffel No.205 is finished with premium hardware and linings. We use solid-brass swivels, buckles and hand-set rivets. The main zipper is an ultra-durable #10 Ykk brass zipper (Made In USA) and the body is lined with premium 8oz. cotton canvas. We stitch them all together with a combination of #277 and #138 bonded threads.

THE DETAILS
Our Duffel No.205 is exclusively built in our San Diego, California leather shop using old-world, American craftsmanship and premium materials. We start with premium Horween® leather, tanned in Chicago since 1905. Every piece of Horween® leather is carefully cut to make each duffel bag. Any raw-edges are polished and hand-stained, rivets and holes are set by hand and folded edges are skillfully skived one by one. We sew each bag with a combination of contrasting #277 thread and tonal #138 thread, for a refined and bold look. Designed and built as a full-size duffel for a 3-5 day trip, depending how you pack, but sized to fit in most airlines carry-on bins. The two carry handles are reinforced to avoid stretching and a made with a snap-over handle wrap to improve comfort. They are built extra-tough with three hand-set brass rivets on each side (12 total), to handle as much weight as you want to pack. We hand-cut the two faces panels from one piece of Horween® leather on each side, no seams or pockets for a clean and refined look. The bottom is reinforced between the liner and three large leather feet are sewn down to protect the base of the bag. We include our most comfortable and widest "guitar style" strap that tapers to 2" wide at the top and is lined with our nubuck belt leather.
