Vest & Jacket Sizing Information

We want to provide you with a proper fitting vest and jacket. By taking a few minutes to read through this section, we can help you to get the size right the first time around.

MEN’S VEST SIZING
Every manufacturer scales and sizes slightly differently.  We chose a traditional sizing scale for our vests. What this means is a vest is cut 2” larger in the upper chest circumference than the labeled size.  For example, a size 44” vest is cut to be 46” around the upper chest (actual measurement). This measurement is taken at the bottom of the arm hole of the vest. Most vests will taper slightly at the bottom (1-2”).  In most cases you can order a size that is 1-2" larger than your chest measurement.  Consider what you will wear under the vest and how you prefer the fit (slim tapering or full cut).

JACKET SIZING INFO (Rev 2021)
In 2021 we changed our jacket sizing to numeric sizes for an improved fit. Most jackets will be available in sizes 38 - 60. We offer up to 64 in some select styles.  The best way to determine your "Jacket Size" is to take an upper chest measurement. That measurement plus 1-2" is the most general way to determine fit. You will also want to consider your desired "Fit Preference".  If you will layer with the jacket or live in a colder climate, than lean towards 2-3" more than your chest. In most cases 1-2" above the largest section of your torso would be your "Order Size".

GENERAL FIT INFORMATION
Generally speaking, you should order 1-2” larger than your “upper chest” measurement, depending on your "Fit Preference".  If your stomach measures larger than your waist, you will need to order 1” larger than that measurement in order for the vest/jacket to comfortably close.

HOW TO TAKE A CHEST MEASUREMENT
Take a fabric tape measure and place it 1” below your armpit (over clothes). Measure your upper chest circumference. That measurement OR up to 2” would be your “order size”in our vest. See the 2020 Sizing Chart above.

CHOOSING YOUR SIZE
When choosing a size, think about how you will wear your garment. If you plan on wearing bulky clothes (sweatshirt, multiple layers) or using the item for concealed-carry, you may want to order on the larger scale. After you have determined your chest measurement, you will generally add 0 - 2” larger than that to determine your “order size”.

TALL CUT VEST
Our “Tall Cut” vests are cut 1-½” longer in the back.  Nothing else in the size or fit is different. As a general rule, most of our “Western Style” vests should fall just to your belt.  We would recommend a “Tall Cut” vest for men with a longer torso or if you are 6’2” or taller.

SIZE EXCHANGES
Size exchanges are always FREE One-Way.  If you are not happy with the fit, simply return it to us with the requested size and we will ship a new one back at no additional cost.
