The Austin Duffel No.007 is a classic and timeless shape that has been made in several leathers and variations by us for more than a decade. The size and shape makes it a versatile piece that can be used in so many ways (gym bag, overnight bag, weekender).  The latest No.007 version has been updated with additional side pockets, premium Japanese "shirting" quality lining and a custom-tanned Horween® leather. 

The Waxed Horween® vegetable tanned leather is custom-tanned for us in a rich "Cognac" color. The hides are a 5/6oz. weight with a natural pebble-grain and an amazing hand-feel. We trim the duffel with an 8/9oz. Horween® latigo leather for the handles, accents and straps for durability and contrast, then finish them with a stout Ykk USA #10 solid brass (Nickel finish) zipper and hardware.

        Horween Leather Company has been tanning leather in Chicago, IL for more than 100-years (Since 1905). They are five generation, family run company that we are proud to be working with. As true artisans of their craft, they are recognized world-wide as one of the premier tanners of leathers like horsehide, shell cordovan, football leather, basketball & baseball leather and more. Today, their leathers are still made by hand, the same way as generations ago.
      The Austin Duffel is tanned from Horween® vegetable tanned leather. The hides are a rich chestnut color with a medium, natural pebbled-gain. They are glove-soft with a slightly waxed finish in a 5-5.6oz. weight. They are traditional artisanal tanned in a labor intensive tanning process that creates unique characteristics in an environmentally friendly manner, all in Chicago, Illinois for more than a century.
