American Bison Rug | Grade-A Han

Not all American Bison Rugs are the same. This is a true, premium grade-A Bison rug that is not commonly available. Each rug is hand selected by the from the finest North American Bison hides and hand finished by a premier mink fur producer in Idaho.
Our bison leather supplier in Milwaukee, WI offered us a limited supply for the next month. After March these will not be available again until December 2026.

HAND SELECTED FROM WINTER HEARDS
The hides were hand selected from December 2025 through January 2026 slaughters specifically for their thick, full winter coat. The bison will start to shed their coat in the Spring, so there is a dramatic difference in the quality of the rug depending on the time it was slaughtered. Because these are winter coats, you will see more vibrant colors and much thicker, coarser fur especially at the hump and shoulder region of the hide. 

HAND FLESHED & FINISHED IN IDAHO
Like all handcrafted products, quality and experience makes a huge difference. The bison rugs are completely hand finished and tanned in the Idaho in small batches. The company is a premier mink fur producer for more than 50-years, so the quality of the bison rugs are stunning. They are soft enough to be worn, the fur is shiny and brilliant with a wonderful aroma. The "fleshing" or finishing of the flesh side is 100% hand sanded and shaved making the rugs softer and pliable enough to be used as a rug or a blanket.

We currently have (5) bison rugs in-stock and ready to ship. Once these are sold-out, we are able to take orders for a few weeks. The next shipment of rugs will ship late March or early April. 

The photographs were taken from our February 2026 shipment. Please note that each hide is unique and will vary a little in the color, texture and slightly in size. Most of the rugs are at least 6' x 6' with some larger hides. All are equal in quality and unique in appearance.
