This product is a Seasonal or Limited Edition item that is not always available. Our production runs for Limited Edition products are generally from 5-20 units, so they are quite small and very special. In most cases they are exclusively available on our website unless otherwise noted.

This product was proudly designed, cut and sewn in our San Diego, California leather shop.

It has been built entirely by our employees 100% (start to finish), in our own factory.  We don’t “partially assemble” our products in another country then label them MADE IN USA. In respect to all the American manufacturers over the last century, we do it the right way, honest and true American manufacturing.

The Dearborn Rucksack is built from a full-grain (5-6oz.) Horween® vegetable tanned leather. Our Horween® Heritage leather has an incredibly soft and supple hand-feel with a natural pebble grain and that amazing Horween® leather aroma! The hides are infused with premium waxes and oils to protect the surface and improve the touch of the leather with a light pull-up effect. The hides have a softer temper than most vegetable tanned leathers and are ideal for luggage and bags. Available in Brown & Tan. 

The leather is tanned at the Horween® tannery in Chicago, IL, where they have been developing and creating premium leathers for more than 100-years (Since 1905). They are a five generation, family run company that we are proud to be working with. As true artisans of their craft, they are recognized world-wide as one of the premier tanners of leathers like horsehide, shell cordovan, NFL® football leather, basketball & baseball leathers and much more.

We love building products a lot more than repairing them!  That’s why we design and build our products to last. We want the product to give you a lifetime of use, but if they fail due to a manufacturing defect, we will repair the product or replace it at little or no charge for the life of the product.
