The Field Duffel No.300 was introduced in the summer of 2024. One of our newest duffel bag designs that is exclusive and unique. The square shape is a vintage inspired design that we developed with our leathers, hardware and the Coronado Leather look. Large enough to be considered a full-size duffel but with a deceivingly smaller footprint. The square body it taller and with a wider base than our other duffels, but not as long. This makes the #300 easier to maneuver through airports, trains and cars but with the capacity to carry like a full-size duffel.

The exclusive design blends some of our classic duffel features along with old-world artisanal craftsmanship and modern design details. We use a combination of two leathers, a heavier/thicker smooth latigo leather on the base, top strips and trim with a contrasting 5oz. leather on the faces and other panels. The top carry handles are extra-tough, with steel reinforced bars under the zipper panels for structure and weight support and structure. We build each bag from premium US tanned leather, Italian made (solid-brass) hardware and premium, oversized brass luggage zippers made in Georgia (Ykk USA). The interior is fully lined and includes a 14" long brass zipper for dirty clothes or small accessories and a 6" brass zipper pocket for a passport, documents or other valuables.

It has been built entirely by our employees 100% (start to finish), in our own factory. We don’t “partially assemble” our products in another country. We do this the right way, in respect to all the American manufacturers over the last century that have laid the groundwork for us to make our legacy.

The Leather

We use a combination of two premium, full-grain leathers. Our “Antique” American Bison is full-grain bison leather in a firm 5oz. weight. The hides are infused with a blend of premium waxes and oils to give the leather a rich and unique two-toned “antique” look in what is called a “pull-up” leather. The leather is firm for the first few months of use, but as the waxes are broken down and worn, the hide will soften and develop a nice, rich patina.

We finish this product with premium Horween® latigo leather, tanned in Chicago, IL since 1905. The hides are a smooth, flat grain steerhide in a full 7-9oz weight, making them not only a handsome contrast against the antiqued bison but ideal for straps, handles, trim and structured side panels.

We want the product to give you a lifetime of use, but if they fail due to a manufacturing defect, we will repair the product or replace it at little or no charge for the life of the product.
