No.69 Union Jacket | Horween® Deerskin x8
The No.69 Union Jacket is a new design introduced in the fall of 2025. The exclusive design is inspired from vintage leather jackets in the 1940's-60's. With subtle and unique design features like the front snap-flap closure, floating snap cuff straps, suede lined hand-pockets and Japanese crafted "Old American"® brand zippers that are designed from 1940's-50's military wear.
The No.69 cut is a exceptional fit, that follows our standard US sizing scale with a slightly more tapered body. The entire jacket is hand-cut in our San Diego factory, one size at a time. The front is a single panel cut with double-welted suede-lined hand pockets. The back is a cut from just two pieces and a deep yoke design. The sleeves taper with an adjustable snap strap that sits just above the wrist. We lined the collar with a 3oz. suede to make it softer and more flexible. The inside will include a vertical cell phone pocket and a zipper pocket.

Horween® Utica Deerskin & Japanese 8oz. Cotton Camo Liner
This is a pretty special jacket that will not be made again. We used a small batch of "deadstock" Horween® deerskin leather in a dark brown, tanned in Chicago. This is the first production run of a jacket that we cut in our San Diego shop and then had our artisans in our Mexico factory sew them. Not the most efficient process, but one where we had better control of how we wanted them cut. We had enough leather to build just (8) jackets, and that is the end of this leather.
These were hides that Horween® had in their Chicago tannery for some years. A test batch on North American deerskin tanned in their butter-soft "Utica" tannage. We had some of the same Utica Deerskin in black a few years back, but like the dark brown, it was a "deadstock" leather that sold immediately. The Horween® Utica Deerskin is heavier and fuller than our Italian deerskin. The leather plumps up a bit more and has larger pebbling. The handfeel is exceptional as is the grain and color. Expect some surface scuffs and natural scars, but overall a beautiful deerskin with an amazing feel. We used a 8oz. 100% cotton camo liner that was imported from the Yoshiwa mill in Japan. Yoshiwa specializes in Japanese denim, chambray and other shirting fabrics for premium clothing.
