The Vintage Rucksack Tote No.115 is new design that was inspired by our first men's tote made more than 20 years ago. The new No.115 is a men's or women's travel tote with the ability to be worn as a backpack OR remove the straps to be used as a carry tote. The drawstring top opens to an extra-wide body that is 100% leather lined. Two large side gusset pockets are ideal for water bottles, pouches or other tech accessories. The backpack straps are fully removable with solid brass swivels and buckles and the top tote handles are roll-stitched and hand-set with heavy-duty brass flat rivets. An exceptional travel bag design that is an exclusive Coronado Leather design in a LIMITED EDITION leather.

LIMITED EDITION Horween® Vintage Steerhide & Horsehide Straps & Handles

The No.115 is made from a very LIMITED EDITION Horween® Vintage Steerhide. A natural, 100% vegetable tanned leather in a 3-4oz. steerhide with a waxed "pull-up" finish. The lightweight leather has a rich pull-up that will patina and darken to a medium brown over time.

This product was proudly designed, cut and sewn in our San Diego, California leather shop.

It has been built entirely by our employees 100% (start to finish), in our own factory. We don’t “partially assemble” our products in another country then label them MADE IN USA. In respect to all the American manufacturers over the last century, we do it the right way, honest and true American manufacturing.

The Leather

Our Horween® Vintage Steerhide is a natural, 100% vegetable tanned leather tanned in Chicago, Illinois. This is a unique and very LIMITED EDITION tannage that in a 3-4oz. steerhide with a waxed, pull-up effect in a rich taupe/natural tone. The lightweight leather has a rich pull-up that will patina and darken to a medium brown over time.

HORWEEN® HORSEHIDE LEATHER 8/9oz. | Handles, Straps & Trim
The horsehide strips used for the straps, trim and handles come from the "strip" section of the hide that sits directly above the "Shell" or butt of the horse. The horizontal "strip" runs against the natural grain and has minimal stretch, making it ideal for straps, belts and other sections need to be tough. It's a full vegetable tanned leather in a stout 8-9oz. leather that is ultra strong and naturally smooth. A true "Artisan" tanned leather made from domestic US hides and tanned start to finish in USA at the Horween® tannery in Chicago.
