Our Bison Weekender #505 showcases the unique beauty of our signature "Shrunken" Bison leather. Accented with smooth, contrasting Horween® latigo strapping leather, lined with a blue tartan plaid and finished with solid brass hardware.

This exclusive design is an ideal size for 3-4 days on the road or a weekend trip. Finished with refined details like hand-polished edges, solid-brass hardware and old-world American craftsmanship.

This product was proudly designed, cut and sewn in our San Diego, California leather shop. It has been built entirely by our employees 100% (start to finish), in our own factory. We don’t “partially assemble” our products in another country then label them MADE IN USA. In respect to all the American manufacturers over the last century, we do it the right way, honest and true American manufacturing.

The Leather

Our "Shrunken" American Bison is one of our favorite and most unique leathers. The hides are chrome and vegetable re-tanned in Milwaukee, Wisconsin (USA) from bison hides that originated in North America. The leather goes through a complex tanning process that shrinks the hide to enhance the already bold natural grain of bison. The hides are lightly waxed prior to applying a "hot chromed mirror plate" to give them a unique, glassy sheen. The pebbled grain is not compromised and is 100% natural.

The finish of the leather has a subtle but sleek sheen with a two-toned "tipping" effect in the color. The Shrunken Bison is available in our classic "Walnut" or a deep jet “Black” in a full 6/7oz. weight. It is an extremely durable and incredibly unique leather.

We love building products a lot more than repairing them! That’s why we design and build them to last. We want the product to give you a lifetime of use, but if they fail due to a manufacturing defect, we will repair the product or replace it at little or no charge for the life of the item.

Beautiful, Shrunken-Bison Bag

"This bag caught my eye the first time I ever saw a picture of it. The leather is shrunken Bison and Horween Latigo. This bag is absolutely beautiful! The colors look great together. The leather is heavy and the bag is built strong enough to last a couple of lifetimes. Coronado's construction is top shelf, building luggage that will not let you down even under rough handling. This bag is roomy and it will hold more than the pictures suggest it could. It is worth every penny. This is a bag anyone would be proud to own. I would like to see Coronado build another shrunken Bison bag like this one, but about half the size of this one (about the size of the Bison Crossbody bag, but with a wider bottom and shorter top). It would make a great, personal satchel to carry personal electronics, a couple of books, magazines, personal grooming devices, etc.. If you are thinking about getting one of these Bison Weekender Bags, I encourage you to make that purchase. You will be glad that you did!"
