Our #44 wallet was designed for International currencies & coins. A slightly taller body, 3-card slots and a snap-gusset coin pouch. Handsewn from Horween horsehide leather then burnished, stained and waxed.

Our Horsehide wallets are not just another “ordinary wallet”. We wanted the wallets to be genuine and simple, using leather, thread, stain and waxes, nothing more. The process is almost entirely done by hand, creating what is far from an “ordinary wallet”. We start with what we feel is an “ideal wallet leather”, Horween® Horsehide. The natural characteristics of this leather make it superior in so many ways; tight-grain, minimal stretch and extra-durable.

We use only Horween® horsehide leathers, tanned in Chicago since 1905. The individual pieces are die-cut for precision and split to an ideal thickness. They are then saddle-stitched completely by hand with imported French thread. After hand-sewing, they are carefully beveled, sanded, stained and waxed to give them a smooth, rounded edge.

Each wallet is individually marked with a unique 11-digit serial number to validate the authenticity and the time of production.

All of our wallets are proudly designed and built in our own San Diego, California leather shop. Each wallet is precision, die-cut and 100% saddle-stitched by hand, one at a time. We use premium, waxed hand-sewing thread, imported from Spain. After construction, they are individually finished with beveled, polished, stained and waxed edges all by hand.

Because our wallets are hand-sewn from 100% leather, without fabric liners or fillers, they will not only last longer but can be completely re-sewn and repaired even decades later. A true heirloom quality, handmade wallet that will last a lifetime.

The Leather

Horween Chromexcel horsehide strips (the section that rests just above the “Shell” or horse butt) are tanned alongside Horween’s Shell Cordovan for the first 45 days, these strips have a combo chrome and veg tan, which is then hot stuffed and finished as Chromexcel. The leather is ultra-strong with very little stretch and a smooth, rich finish. A fantastic leather for belts and wallets.

We love building products a lot more than repairing them! That’s why we design and build our products to last. We want the product to give you a lifetime of use, but if they fail due to a manufacturing defect, we will repair the product or replace it at little or no charge for the life of the product.
