The No.970 CO Executive Briefcase is a full size briefcase wide enough for executive legal files/folders, at 17" wide. The original No.970 was a custom project made for a respected Naval CO (Commanding Officer) in Coronado, CA. A bold and highly functional briefcase that is artisan handcrafted in our San Diego factory from premium American tanned leathers. A true heirloom quality briefcase that is built to last a lifetime.
The No.970 Design & Details
The interior on the No.970 is split with suede leather and lining under the flap and the back laptop sleeve and our signature 7oz. plaid. The design is wide enough to fit legal files and up to a 17" laptop, making the No.970 our largest briefcase by width and height, but with a slimmer profile. Use the removable leather shoulder strap or the top carry handle that is leather wrapped and riveted down to a steel bar for maximum durability and longevity. We use a sturdy and smooth latigo leather for the base and side panels to give extra structure and the entire flap and body is 100% leather bound. Each No.970 CO is finished with premium solid-brass Italian made hardware, we hand stain the edges and hand-set the brass rivets one by one, all in our San Diego leather factory. Other features include inside leather utility pockets, a 6" brass zipper and a brass swivel on a leather lanyard.
Cut From The Trimmed Shoulders Of The "Shrunken Grain" Bison
This version is crafted from our signature "shrunken grain" American Bison leather (Tanned in Milwaukee, WI) and trimmed with "English Bridle" latigo from Wickett & Craig (Tanned in Curwensville, PA). We selected and trimmed the bison hides using the "trimmed shoulder" section that has the largest natural grain pattern, using this for the flap and front face. Read more about the leathers below.
The No.970 is made in micro-batch quantities of less than (10) pieces and marked with a unique 9-digit serial number.
