LIMITED EDITION HORWEEN® BLACK MT BLANC (Coming Fall 2024)
The #205 Duffel is our original duffel first made in 2003. The exclusive and timeless design is crafted entirely in our San Diego, California factory using premium, US tanned Horween® vegetable tanned steerhide, solid-brass Italian made hardware and oversized #10 Ykk brass zippers, made in Atlanta, Georgia.

The simplicity of the one-piece body showcases the rich leather and precise American made craftsmanship. Each duffel is individually cut, panel-matched and the edges are stained and polished by hand. The hidden details include reinforced D-ring loops, hand-set brass rivets and skilfully skived edges to maintain a clean, refined look.

This is a LIMITED EDITION version made from a NEW Horween® leather called Mt Blanc. Built with all black thread (no contrasting stitch) and will include the matching #299 Dopp Kit.
The entire duffel is built in our San Diego factory, by hand in micro-batch quantities of less than (10) pieces and marked with a unique 9-digit serial number. Each panel is hand stained and polished then sewn with a tighter thread count and precise stitching. This is a true "Heirloom Quality" bag that can be passed down for generations.

This product is a Seasonal or Limited Edition item that is not always available. Our production runs for Limited Edition products are generally from 5-20 units, so they are quite small and very special. In most cases they are exclusively available on our website unless otherwise noted.

Made In The USA

This product was proudly designed, cut and sewn in our San Diego, California leather shop. It has been built entirely by our employees 100% (start to finish), in our own factory. We don’t “partially assemble” our products in another country then label them MADE IN USA. In respect to all the American manufacturers over the last century, we do it the right way, honest and true American manufacturing.

The Leather

Mt Blanc is a new leather from Horween® that was introduced in 2024. The base tannage is similar to their famous Chromexcel® leather but with a softer hand, less oils and no “pull-up”. Mt Blanc is what we would consider Horween’s most “luxurious” luggage leather with a slightly European look and feel.

The hides are a full-grain, aniline dyed leather in a 5-6oz. weight and a smooth, natural grain surface and a lighter weight tannage due to less oils and waxes. It’s an exceptional leather for luggage and cases, with just the right amount of stand-up temper and weight. The hand-feel of Mt Blanc is absolutely amazing and the what makes the leather totally unique from other Horween® tannages.

We love building products a lot more than repairing them! That’s why we design and build them to last. We want the product to give you a lifetime of use, but if they fail due to a manufacturing defect, we will repair the product or replace it at little or no charge for the life of the item.
