Horween® Walnut & Canvas Rucksack No.180
A NEW Limited, First Edition of our Rucksack in a combination of two premium materials. The body is an 18oz. waxed cotton canvas milled in Dundee, Scotland. The leather pockets, handles, straps and trim are all built from Horween® Dublin leather in a 5/6 and 8/9oz. weight, tanned in Chicago since 1905.
The Rucksack No.180 is an exclusive design inspired by vintage military "Rucksacks" made in the 1940's-60's. The rounded base, bound flap and leather drawstring closures are all features common in those styles. We added our own design details such as a leather internal laptop sleeve, a hanging utility pocket, leather drawstring riveted caps and wide, double layered guitar-style shoulder straps, to name a few.
The NEW Waxed Canvas & Leather version is lighter-weight and the canvas is water-resistant and rugged. A perfect rucksack for travel, hiking or just daily use. We use our Horween® vegetable-tanned Dublin leather for all the pockets, straps and trim. You can read more about the leather and canvas below.

The Walnut Rucksack No.180 is built from two premium materials. The base is an 18oz., waterproof waxed cotton canvas. Milled in Dundee, Scotland since 1864 and Horween® vegetable tanned leather in a walnut brown color. Made in both a 5/6oz. and 8/9oz. in the strap and handles, the leathers are tanned at the world-famous Horween® tannery in Chicago. The hides are infused with premium waxes and oils to protect the surface and improve the touch of the leather with a light pull-up effect.
