For this version we made only x8 jackets in a brown "Vintage" horsehide leather in May 2025.

Vintage Horsehide is tanned in Chicago, IL at the Horween® tannery. It is a mid to heavyweight, vegetable tanned horsehide with a FIRM temper. Out of the box it is quite stiff, with a firm body. Tanned with heavy waxes that gives the leather a unique, distressed appearance. Ot of the box it will need a good break-in period. Think of it like raw denim or new western boots, once you break it in, it will be your favorite leather.

A good choice if you want a heavier jacket, will use it for riding or prefer a jacket that you can break-in on your own.

Our vests and jackets are US sized in what we consider to be “TRUE TO SIZE”. Because our garments are graded in US even number sizes, they move up and down in smaller increments.
In general, you should order 1-2” larger than your “upper chest” measurement. This also depends on your "Fit Preference", so consider what you will wear under the vest and how you prefer the fit (slim tapering or full cut). If you will layer with the jacket or live in a colder climate, you may want to lean towards 2-3" more than your chest. In most cases 1-2" above the largest section of your torso would be your "Order Size".

TALL CUT
A “Tall Cut” Vest will be 2” longer (front and back). Nothing else changes.
A "Tall Cut” Jacket will be 2” longer in the body and 1” longer in the sleeve.

Although alpha sizing is very different by manufacturer, a loose comparison would be as follows;
