Shelby Bison Travel Vest No. 329

The Shelby Vest is a vintage inspired design with roots from the RAF (Royal Air Force) in the 1950-70's. Our version has some subtle design details that are unique along with our best-selling Indy Bison leather in a NEW Saddle Tan. We only made (30) pieces and with this Saddle version we added side hand-warmer pockets in addition to the top pockets. A customer inspired feature.

A slightly fuller cut vest with a back length that extends below the belt, more like a jacket. The Front patch pockets are secured with brass snaps and the upper hand-pockets are fully suede-lined for durability and warmth. The front is double secured with a full-length brass zipper and a snap-down wind flap to keep you warm and the stand up collar is short enough NOT to rub against your face but tall enough to keep the wind off your neck. Built with a total of (11) unique pockets (6 outside & 5 inside), including our signature CCW pockets and holster. A full-length front Ykk USA brass zipper makes the No. 209 more like a jacket than a vest.

Our "INDY" Bison is an exclusive leather introduced in 2021. This rugged and tough leather has a "worn-in" vintage look accomplished by adding waxes and oils. The bison grain is apparent throughout the hide with healed scars, smooth and textured sections all mixed together. It is a completely natural finish without any embossing or plating, making each and every vest truly unique. The skins are a full 3-3.5oz. (not heavy) but a little on the stiffer side until broken in.

Almost Perfect.

"This is a well made vest except for the leather hanger by the tag that broke the first time I tried to use it. It's one of those things that isn't bad enough to send it back, but when you spend $600 on a piece of clothing you want it to be a 100% quality. A heavy duty hook strap would be a great addition to this otherwise excellent piece of apparel. I wish I could give it 5 stars. As for the leather being stiff as reviewed by others, it is. However it's something that is meant to be broke in, which is very common for a heavy duty piece of bison leather. Put in the time to break it in because it's a beautiful vest and is super durable."
